The A Level Mathematics tends to build a set of transferable skills which covers working with mathematical information, alongside the ability to think independently and logically, model situations mathematically, considering accuracy, analysing results and reflecting on findings. Students can apply these skills to wide-ranging subject and these skills equip them well for progression to university level studies or directly into employment.
At AS level, professors can select from three various routes to AS Level Mathematics: Pure Mathematics and Mechanics, Pure Mathematics only or Pure Mathematics and Probability & Statistics. At A Level, professors can select from two various routes to A Level Mathematics: Pure Mathematics and Probability & Statistics only; or Pure Mathematics, Probability & Statistics and Mechanics.
